The Volcanological Observatory

Hike to the top of Pizzi Deneri, an upland located on the slopes of Summit Craters

The guided tour is located in the South-East side of Etna Volcano, from an altitude of 1800m to 2800m.

You will hike across the volcanic desert made of rocks and ash to the top of Pizzi Deneri, where the Volcanology monitoring Station is located.

The place is famous for the gorgeous landscape and the best view of the  summit craters from a safe distance.

The tour is available from april to october, according to the weather conditions.
